Production details

The Fermi chopper is a vacuum vessel with a built-in rotor revolving at a high speed of 600Hz. It has a synchronization accuracy of below 0.3μs for a rotating speed of 600Hz (below 0.5μs for 400Hz). MTC is also working on the development of a prototype boron material for the slits that function as shield for the neutrons.
