-Heat Treatment-

Heat treatment is the process of heating and cooling metals in order to achieve material properties demanded by the customer’s needs. Specific rules must be applied for proper heat treatment. We are equipped to provide advanced heat treatment using our large-scale vacuum furnaces.

Types of Heat Treatment

Heat treatment using vacuum furnace

We provide various types of heat treatment such as solution
treatment, precipitation hardening, stabilizing, hardening, quenching & tempering, annealing, stress relieving, sintering, diffusion treatment, etc.

■ Purpose

To improve wear resistance, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and physical properties.

■ Benefits

Oxidation can be avoided during heat treatment by use of a multi-chamber vacuum furnace.
Due to non-oxidizing treatment, machining is not required after heat treatment.
With our large scale vacuum furnace, we can heat treat large bulk items (max 2,000 mm square) as well as mass produce a large quantity of smaller items in one treatment, thus minimizing costs.
Heat treatment minimizes deformation and distortion.

Heat treatment using hot press equipment

This heat treatment applies pressure from above during the heating and cooling process.

■ Purpose

To improve wear resistance, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and physical properties.

■ Benefits

The metals with high melting points can be treated up to a maximum of 2,000℃.
Deformation can be corrected by heating and cooling under pressure.

Heat treatment using atmosphere furnace

The examples of this are heat treatment, selective oxidation, nitriding, carburizing, sub-zero treatment, etc. for parts and raw materials.

■ Purpose

To improve mechanical and physical properties.
To induce hydrogen adsorption into parts and materials.
To induce surface modification by atmosphere gas.

■ Benetits

A choice of three gases can be utilized to optimize heat treatment: hydrogen, argon gas, or nitrogen gas.

Various types of equipment available	We have one of the largest vacuum furnaces in Japan. Heat treatment for large quantities is available as we have 36 vacuum furnaces and 35 atmosphere furnaces. We can heat treat parts, requiring certain specifications for aerospace, aircraft, and the nuclear power industry.
